More than just a duty
At Intership we consider our charterers and customers as our partners. As ship owners and operators with a large and diversified commercial management network, we aim to work closely with our industrial partners to satisfy their needs. The legal concept of the Duty Of Care for the cargo is a mere starting point for us; we strive to excel in ‘customer satisfaction’.
We continuously actively engage in a dialogue with our partners to improve their business and to add value for both parties.
For many years we have been actively involved in the creation of value-added services that go well beyond the transportation from one port to another.
We have closely involved our partners in the design of new ships, and we have designed and proposed novel transport modes. We have taken over non-core operation of our partners, such as the management of their owned vessels or the management of power plants at their production facilities. We have engaged in stockpile management, thus making the planning process for our partners’ easier.
We believe in partnerships. Together with our commercial management offices, we are eager to find ways to improve our partners’ business!
Our vessels are commercially managed by the Hartmann-Group owned United Bulk Carriers (bulkers), Hartmann Shipping Asia (containers) as well as the joint ventures, Schulte & Bruns and United Product Tankers (product tankers).
